As promised, I have recipes to share and an update on my status. As of today I weigh 130 pds. I have lost a total of 3 pds this week. This detox is not based off the amount of weight I lose, my weight loss basically shows my progress. When detoxing, your expelling toxins and fats stored in your body. As they are released from your body, you tend to shed pounds and body mass. In my case I have been focused on the weight but next week I will start to monitor my body mass.
Alrighty…I want to share with you a normal menu I plan for the day. As I told you in day 6, it is imperative that you make a weekly meal plan (that plan will truly help you stay on track). Up first is my breakfast (let me add this, I drink a full glass of water to begin my day…this is after I’ve gotten out of bed, showered and brushed my teeth). After my first intake of water is out the way, I start on my smoothie..I showed you in day 6 how I prep my smoothie the night before…read here. Below is another smoothie I made, I call it “very berry smoothie”.

OK, as you know I have embarked on a new journey and my body is saying wth…lol. I woke up this morning feeling like sh**. My head is stuffy, my nose is runny and my thighs feel like somebody went misery on them. I think all this is do to me working out and sweating all over, I came into a cold house followed by a shower then I stepped out into the cold air. Yeah, I am pretty sure that is what did it. “Lesson learned…don’t workout, open your pores and sit in the cold!”
Now to give you an update on my overall health status. I am doing great. I now weigh 131.6. I’ve been urinating like a Russian race horse (this is due to my huge intake of water). And I seem to have more energy. Something that has really helped me stay in track is my meal planner. I plan out my meals for the week and stick to it. Planning is key, I initially thought I would just wing it but the first 3 days I was scatter minded when it came to what I was going to eat for that day, meal planning has helped me to stay on track. I will give you examples of the meals I eat Friday. But here is a pic of my breakfast this morning. Today is the day I decided to do something about my current situation. I love planning and discussing new things but when in comes to implementing them…let’s just say the procrastinator in me shows up 5 out of 10 times. I have talked about my weight gain with friends and family members for years (I’ve complained and complained) but never took serious action. I have purchased cook books, self help books, I’ve even switched up my eating habits, but I just keep going back to the Junk Food! I am a JUNKIE! And that is exactly what I’m eating….JUNK! I am addicted to those toxic sweet treats.
NO more…I am kicking that habit for good. Today is a new day, 3 days ago I was discussing with my husband about how I gotta do something about my addiction. I mentioned to him that I was tired of my arm constantly breaking out from eczema. I didn’t grow up with eczema but it seems that I am developing it around my body. You guys know that I am a natural health consultant so I know the tell tell signs and the precautions to take. Why I haven’t taken them you ask….I didn’t want to give up my drug! I thought to myself, if I eat healthy food along side my treats I would be fine. Maybe that works fine for others but my body is saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I hear it loud and clear and I am ready to listen. This is a new chapter to add in my book of life and I want the world to be apart of it. I will update this blog weekly with stories, recipes and videos. Please share your POSITIVE comments, words of encouragement or just check in to see how I am progressing. Stay tuned for more to come… |
