This week I decided to make my all natural fresh seasoning and I would like to share it with you. With today’s market, you can pretty much save a lot of time and money by simply purchasing seasonings from your local store. But if you want quality and if you want to know exactly what your ingesting, then I suggest you make it yourself. And the best part is, making this seasoning is EASY. All you need is time, a few extra bucks and some space in your kitchen. This seasoning is know as green seasoning widely used in Trinidad. There are several variations of this seasoning online, so if you are interested in making it, try experimenting with different recipes until you find the one that suites you. Watch this video to see just how easy it is to make it. Here is how you start, first you need to select ingredients you want to use. I have listed here some ingredients I use when I prepare my seasoning, I did not list all the ingredients I use because I plan on saving my original recipe for my children…:-). Ingredients:
Your mix is going to have a very bright green the first couple of days but after 2 days it will start to look a little dull, don’t worry, this is normal. My seasoning usually don’t last a full week in my home because we use it on everything, spaghetti, chicken, fish, salads, I mean we literally use it on everything…lol. It just adds so much flavor to your meals. Once you try it, you will immediately be able to tell the difference from store bought seasoning. I love using this seasoning on my foods, it’s natural, it’s fresh and most important it’s HEALTHY! Here are some pictures on how I use this seasoning. I add a heaping spoonful on top of my salads, I mix it thoroughly. I rub it all over my meat dishes as well (Chicken & Talipia pictured below) In this crockpot I have added chicken & vegetables, topped it off with my organic green seasoning I hope you enjoy this all natural green seasoning as much as I enjoy it on my dishes....
Thanks, Demeka

Hi: Thanks for publishing your Green Seasoning recipe. I am a Trini living in the US. I have a business specializing in herbal marinades, pepper sauces, spice blends, flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars. I sell the green seasoning and Trini pepper sauce and have an online store at www.athymeforallseasonings.net, so I am always looking for ways to enhance my family's recipe. I don't usually put the green and red pepper in my recipe but I used them after seeing your site. It added a nice sweetish flavor, and helped take the "tang" off the acidic additions to the seasoning. Thank you and best wishes to you.
